Pooka

Pooka

Year: 2024

In the heart of a forest where time grows wild, clocks rise like trees—suspended in fog, frozen mid-chime. A girl stands quietly among them, holding a small timepiece to her chest. Behind her, a white hare leans close, half guardian, half whisperer, its gaze as lucid as a dream.

Pooka draws inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, but here the white rabbit is no longer merely late—it is timeless, a mythic guide. Rooted in Celtic folklore, the Pooka is a shapeshifter, a trickster spirit who escorts souls into the unknown. In this vision, it becomes the embodiment of inner transformation.

The scene is not hurried but suspended, a moment stretched between wonder and reckoning. The girl is not chasing time—she is listening to it. The rabbit is not fleeing—he is waiting.

This piece speaks of thresholds: between childhood and change, logic and magic, control and surrender. Pooka is an invitation to get lost—to follow not time, but intuition—into the woods of your own becoming.
